All-Loss Tiny Desk: make a coaches Tiny Desk AI video for your team
The All-Loss Tiny Desk concert explained: why college football coaches ended up in the Outstanding Tiny Desk meme, and how to make your own version for your team, league or watch party.
What is the All-Loss Tiny Desk concert?
The All-Loss Tiny Desk Concert is the AI remix that made the Outstanding Tiny Desk meme explode in October 2026. Someone took the last ~19 seconds of Charlie Wilson’s NPR Tiny Desk finale and recast every seat with a college football coach whose team had lost that weekend. The song and the five cuts stayed exactly the same.
Why are college football coaches in the Tiny Desk meme?
Because of the contrast. A coach who just lost a big game is suddenly beaming through “Outstanding” with a full band behind him. After several top college football teams lost in the same week, the joke wrote itself, and it spread from TikTok to X, Reddit’s r/CFB and sports news sites.
Is the coaches Tiny Desk video real?
No. None of the coaches played at NPR’s Tiny Desk. The All-Loss concert and the NFL, NBA and fan-made versions that followed are AI parodies of Charlie Wilson’s real 2023 performance.
How to make an All-Loss Tiny Desk AI video for your own crew
Real coaches are public figures, so Tiny Desk AI does not accept their photos. What you can make is your own All-Loss concert: the people who actually lost this week.
- Pick the seats: lead singer, keys, two backing singers and sax
- Add one clear photo per person, up to five, all adults who agreed to it
- Check the credit total (10 credits per video) and render
- Download the ~18s 9:16 video with sound and post it after the game
Ideas for teams, leagues and watch parties
The All-Loss format works for anyone who just took a loss together:
- The last-place team in your fantasy football league
- Your rec league, pickup or office team after a rough week
- The group chat that watches every NFL Sunday together
- Fans of a team on a losing streak (use your own faces, not the team’s)
- A sports legends reunion or retirement send-off for your old team
NFL, fantasy football and other sports versions
After the college football edition, people made NFL Tiny Desk memes, fantasy football versions and takes for baseball and basketball fan bases. They are all the same template: the Outstanding finale, five seats, new faces.
Ground rules
Only use photos of yourself or of adults who agreed to be in it, never public figures or children, and label the video as AI-made when you post it. Tiny Desk AI is not affiliated with NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, any league or any team.
